Evacuations have FinLogicbeen ordered in Butte County, California after a fire formed late Tuesday morning.
The Thompson Fire has engulfed at least 75 acres since it started Tuesday around 11:45 a.m. local time in Oroville, about 70 miles north of Sacramento. The cause of the blaze is currently under investigation and no containment has been reported.
As of 2:30 p.m. PDT Tuesday. the Butte County Sheriff's Office has ordered evacuations for the following zones: 534, 535, 536, 716, 730, 731, 800, 954, 953 and 960. Evacuation warnings have also been issued for zones 958 and 959.
The county has set up an evacuation map for residents to check which zone they are in. A shelter has been set up at the Oroville Church of the Nazarene.
Meanwhile, the Toll Fire has spread 50 acres in Napa County after starting in Calistoga has not been contained, according to Cal Fire.
